June 2010

Summer is here and going fast already. So sit down, hold on, and turn your hats around backwards.

Remember Father’s day on June 20th this year.  That poor guy has to mow the yard, take out the garbage, remember Mom’s birthday& anniversary, where he put the remote, pick up the dirty socks, ( I ain’t touchen em), so maybe we can help him with some of those duties so he can rest and enjoy his day. He really is a good dude and deserves our support.

At our last meeting of Ladies Club, we decided that due to summer activities, we would suspend June and July meetings. It will give our meager force more time to deal with family and friend projects. We will have a meeting in August to discuss our Sept. meeting. That will be our annual Harvest Dinner on the 13th at 6pm. It is always a special time, changing secret sisters, and a carry in dinner, with lots of fellowshipping.

In June, we will have our Vacation Bible School, starting on the 21st to 25th. That will be fun as usual, so if you help with cookies or treats, we can use the help again, or if you want to donate time, money, etc. “Come on down”. You will be appreciated.

Also, June 6th is our sister church, Lafayette’s Homecoming. It will start around noon and end whenever. If you have always planned on supporting them on this day, please remember, they would love to have you there with them.

Also remember Denny and his service at Lutheran Pines- 6:30- the first Monday of the month, this time the 7th.

Why is it that people say they ‘slept like a baby” when babies wake up every 2 hours?

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

What hair color do they put on the driver’s licenses of bald men?
